What is Catch the Ace
Catch the Ace Lottery is a Progressive Lottery.
Prior to Week One, a regular deck of 52 playing cards were placed in brown envelopes (one card per envelope). The envelopes were shuffled and randomly numbered 1 to 52.
Each week tickets are sold for the opportunity to find the Ace of Spades. The buyer chooses an envelope by number (from a list of available envelopes) and the envelope number is documented on their ticket.
Each week one ticket is drawn. The holder of that ticket exclusively wins 20% of that weeks sales. The envelope number documented on the drawn ticket is opened. If the card inside is not the Ace of Spades, the ticket holder exclusively wins the weekly prize of 20% of that weeks sales and the card is destroyed and removed from future draws. If the envelope selected contains the Ace of Spades, the drawn ticket holder exclusively wins the weekly prize plus the progressive pot and the draw is concluded.
* The Progressive Pot is starting at $5,000. and will remain there until 3,333 tickets are sold. After which, the Ace of Spades progressive pot grows by 30% of the weekly sales until the Ace of Spades is revealed.
Each week the holder of the drawn ticket exclusively receives 20% of the weekly sales.
Tickets are only valid for the week which they were purchased. Every week is a brand new draw, requiring a valid ticket purchase.
