ANSWERS TO SOME OF THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS
What is A Catch the Ace Progressive Lottery?
Prior to Week One, a regular deck of 52 playing cards were placed in brown envelopes (one card per envelope). The envelopes were shuffled and randomly numbered 1 to 52.
Each week tickets are sold for the opportunity to find the Ace of Spades. The buyer chooses an envelope by number (from a list of available envelopes) and the envelope number is documented on their ticket.
Each week one ticket is drawn. The holder of that ticket exclusively wins 20% of that weeks sales for having their ticket drawn. The envelope number documented on the drawn ticket is then opened. If the card inside is not the Ace of Spades, the card is destroyed, the envelope is removed from the availabile to be purchased and the weekly draws continue. If the envelope selected contains the Ace of Spades, the drawn ticket holder exclusively wins the weekly prize plus the progressive pot and the draw is concluded.
Is A Ticket Valid For Multiple Weeks?
No, tickets are only valid for the week which they were purchased. Every week is a brand new draw, requiring a valid ticket purchased for that week.
Can More Than One Person Buy A Ticket And Select The Same Envelope?
Yes, an available envelope can be selected by any number of people.
I Selected The Same Envelope As The Drawn Ticket, Do I Receive A Share of the Prize?
No, to win a prize, your ticket must be drawn in the weekly draw.
If your ticket is drawn, you automatically and exclusively win the weekly consolation prize of 20% of the value of the tickets sold that week.
If your ticket is drawn and the envelope you selected also holds the Ace of Spades, you exclusively win the accumulated value of the Progressive Pot.
If your ticket was not drawn but you selected the same envelope as the drawn ticket, you do not share in any prize, that is simply a coincidence.
