What is Catch the Ace
Catch the Ace is a Progressive Lottery.
Prior to Week One, a regular deck of 52 playing cards were placed in brown envelopes (one card per envelope). The envelopes were shuffled and randomly numbered 1 to 52.
Each week tickets are sold for the opportunity to find the Ace of Spades. The buyer chooses an envelope by number (from a list of available envelopes) and the envelope number is documented on their ticket.
The Progressive Pot is starting at $5,000. The Progressive Pot accumulates by the value of 30% of ticket sales for the week.
Each week one ticket is drawn. The envelope number documented on the drawn ticket is opened. If the card inside is not the Ace of Spades, the ticket holder exclusively wins the weekly prize of 20% of that weeks sales and the card revealed is destroyed and removed from future draws. If the envelope selected contains the Ace of Spades, the drawn ticket holder exclusively wins the weekly prize and the progressive pot accumulated to that point and the draw is concluded.
Tickets are only valid for the week which they were purchased. Every week is a brand new draw, requiring a valid ticket purchase.
